Find out more about your model
You can find your iPhone model number by looking at the small text on the back of the iPhone. There should be something that says 'Model AXXXX'. Match that to the list below to find out which iPhone model you own. If you cannot read the text on the back of the iPhone, launch the iOS Settings app and navigate to General > About > Model. To see the “A” number, tap on the Model number. It will change to a numeric ID starting with A. On the iPhone 8 or later, go to Settings > General > About to find your phone’s SKU.

After determining your model, you can find out which features and capabilities your iPod has.
Step 1
Go to Apple's official website (see Resource section) and click the Support tab.
Step 2
Click the Online Service Assistant link, which is located in the Support Services menu on the right side of the screen. The Service and Repair page will open.
Step 3
Find your iPod's serial number. This is engraved somewhere on the back of your iPod, either on the body of the device or on the clip. You can also find it in your iPod's About screen by clicking Settings and selecting About (or General followed by About on an iPod Touch).
Enter your iPod's serial number and click the 'Continue' button. Your iPod model and generation will be displayed at the top of the screen.
